Summary:PURPOSE: A sea square construction method using a steel material casing retaining wall is provided to prevent the infiltration of sea water by increasing the rigidity of a structure and to prevent crack and failure. CONSTITUTION: A first inner wall casing(24) is mounted on a sea floor where a sea square(70) is located. A first outer wall casing(25) surrounds the first inner wall casing. After pumping sea water between the first inner wall casing and the first outer wall casing, coal tar(28) is coated or clay is placed in order to prevent the infiltration of sea water into the first inner wall casing and the first outer wall casing. A soil bag(61) or pebble concrete(62) is filled between the first inner wall casing and the first outer wall casing. A water cutoff sheet(63) is spread on the exterior circumference of the lowest layer of the first exterior wall casing and the soil bags are stacked on the water cutoff sheet. The sea water between a first inner wall casing structure and a first outer wall casing structure is pumped. The inner sea floor of the first inner and outer wall casing structures is dug.
