A flap valve apparatus is provided to open/close the valve disc using a coil spring, to reduce the impact applied to the valve disc and discharge pipe when closing the valve disc, and to allow the administrator recognize the abnormality of the valve immediately. A flap valve(4) is constructed in which a rotary shaft(11) is installed eccentrically in the traverse direction inside a discharge pipe(2) and a shaft joint(21a) of a valve disc(21) is joined to the rotary shaft so that the valve disc is selectively opened by the pressure of drain through a drain pipe(1). A connection shaft(31) is installed in the traverse direction apart from the rotary shaft inside the discharge pipe and a coil spring(3), whose fixed end(32) is fixed in the shaft joint and support end(33) elastically supports the bottom part of the valve disc, is fitted to the connection shaft so that the valve disc is elastically supported by the coil spring. A stopper(6) determining the opened and closed positions of the valve disc is protruded on upper and lower inner sides of the discharge pipe. A buffering member(5) in which a piston is supported by a buffer spring within a cylinder(51) is installed on the inner upper side of the discharge pipe so that the piston makes contact with the upper side of the valve disc to reduce the closing speed of the valve disc. And, cut-off bars of arch shape are installed on one side of the valve disc in order to block entrance of person when the valve disc is opened.
