Summary: | A nanoporous silica-polyaniline hybrid material is provided to show high periodicity, electroactivity, electrochromism, and pH responsivity of polyaniline chains in a silica nanochannel. A nanoporous silica-polyaniline hybrid material comprises: a silica backbone which has a nano channel shape by a silicate network; polyaniline chains containing nitrogen bonded with a C1-C5 straight hydrocarbon and Si of the silica backbone; and a micelle which is formed by naphthalene sulfonic acid electrostatically bonded with the polyaniline chains. The polyaniline chains form a uniform membrane inside the silica nanochannel. The nanoporous silica-polyaniline hybrid material has arranged hexagonal array. |
