Summary:A layer separation device, a multilayer composting device and a composting method using the device are provided to fertilize the compost in a short time by dropping the raw material stepwise continuously to the space between the layers. A multilayer composting device(100) has first, second and third ferment rooms(102,104,106) having a space for storing raw material for compost. The composting device also has a post-ferment room(108) in the bottom. A layer separation device(110) is located in each space between the ferment rooms including the post-ferment room. A support(112) is installed below the post-ferment room. An inlet(114) is installed on the upper side of the first ferment room for the raw material for compost, and an outlet(116) is installed below the post-ferment room for discharging the finished compost. The bottom of the post-ferment room is equipped with a scraper type push road discharge device(118), which discharges the laminated composted raw material in order. Each ferment room has an air inlet(120) at the bottom, a blower motor(124) is installed in the outside of each ferment room, and the air is supplied to the air inlet through a pipe(122). The ferment gas stored in the ferment rooms is discharged through an air-vent(126) by the action of a discharge motor(128). A composting method using the device comprises steps of: putting raw material for compost into the first ferment room on the top; fermenting the raw material in the ferment room; dropping the fermented raw material to the lower ferment room; and filling up the first ferment room with another raw material for compost through the inlet in the same amount as the dropped raw material.
