Summary:A method for treating sewage and wastewater is provided to maximize purification efficiency by filling fluidized and fixed carriers into the reactor, reduce maintenance and management costs and facility cost by using a non-power rotary sprayer without installing additional mixing equipment, and minimize installation cost and install the reactor without changing structures by simultaneously filling the fluidized and fixed carriers into the reactor. A method for treating sewage and wastewater using a reactor having fluidized and fixed carriers comprises the steps of: flowing sewage and wastewater from an equalization tank(10) into a first reactor(20) in which a fluidized carrier(4) and a fixed carrier are installed using a raw water transfer pump(11) and a metering tank(12) to treat the sewage and wastewater; flowing water treated in the first reactor from the first reactor into a second reactor(30) in which the fluidized carrier and the fixed carrier are installed to treat the treated water; flowing water treated in the second reactor from the second reactor into a microorganism cultivation tank(40) in which the fluidized carrier and the fixed carrier are installed to treat the treated water; flowing treated water from the microorganism cultivation tank into a biofilm contacting aeration tank(50) to treat the treated water; and flowing treated water from the biofilm contacting aeration tank into a sedimentation tank(60). Further, the fluidized carrier is porous ceramic carrier.
