Summary:A multi-heat pump is provided to adjust a load by selectively operating a plurality of compressors in accordance with the load of an indoor device. A multi-heat pump comprises a plurality of compressors(32,42), a plurality of outdoor heat exchangers(70,72), indoor heat exchangers(82,84), and a plurality of passage switching members(52,54). The passage switching members, distribute refrigerant to a plurality of conduits, installed at each of branched conduits between the outdoor heat exchangers and the indoor heat exchangers, connect the conduits to each outdoor heat exchanger when in a cooling mode and connect the conduits to each of indoor heat exchangers when in a heating mode, switch a refrigerant passage to allow the indoor heat exchanger to independently perform cooling and heating drives. The passage switching member is a four-way valve or a solenoid valve.
