Summary:A hood latch device is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost through lightening a stopper and eliminating the difference in a required restoring force using only one elastic member. A hood latch device comprises a base panel(10) installed on a vehicle body, a cable(20) capable of being operated by a release lever attached to a driver's seat, a stopper(30) hinge-coupled to the base panel to be rotated by the cable, a latch(40) interlocked with to release a striker(60) installed at the inside of the hood, and an elastic member(50). The elastic member restores the stopper and the latch to their original positions. The elastic member includes one end connected to the stopper and an opposite end connected to the latch. The stopper is formed with a first locking portion(31) to allow the cable to be connected thereto.
