A window crescent is provided to manufacture and assemble components easily by simplifying a structure for rotating a lock. A window crescent(100) for locking and opening a window comprises a main body(200), a base plate(300) and a cover, wherein a pair of locks(220) are coupled to through holes of projection tubes projecting uniformly to a working chamber of the main body to rotate freely, and a moving body(230) is inserted to a guide groove formed by a guide plate on the inside of the working chamber of the main body to make the moving body move along the guide groove, and a spur gear of the moving body is engaged with an actuating gear(223) of the lock. When the moving body makes a linear movement upward, the lock engaged with the spur gear of the moving body rotates in a counterclockwise direction and a hanging piece formed on the outer circumferential surface of the lock rotates through a long hole of the main body to be projected outward, so that the hanging piece of the lock is suspended on a locking piece coupled to an outer window to lock a window, and when the moving body makes a linear movement downward, the lock engaged with the spur gear of the moving body rotates in a clockwise direction and the hanging piece formed on the outer circumferential surface of the lock rotates through the long hole of the main body and enters the main body, so that the hanging piece of the lock is released from the locking piece coupled to the outer window to open a window freely, so that the lock engaged with the moving body makes a rotational movement to lock and open a window by ascending and descending the moving body assembled to the inside of the main body vertically with the upward and downward rotation of a knob(250) connected to the side of the main body.
