Summary:A security message transceiving method for protecting privacy and a mobile communication terminal therefor are provided to enable a sending side to encode a text message to send the encoded message while a receiving side can restore the message to confirm the restored message, thus privacy protection is available. A sending terminal receives a basic message, an original message, and a password from a sender, and encodes the original message by using the password(S201-S209). The sending terminal merges the basic message into the encoded original message to generate a security message, and sends the security message by setting a security mode code in the security message(S211-S215). A receiving terminal displays the basic message included in the security message according to the set security mode code, and receives a password from a receiver(S217-S223). The receiving terminal restores the original message included in the security message by using the received password, and displays the restored message(S225-S231).
