Summary:A pipe type backfire arrester for water gas is provided to effectively prevent backfire, directly install the backfire arrester on a pipeline of water gas, filter alien substances such as water and the like contained in water gas, prevent ceramic particle-supporting meshes from slipping within a pipe, prevent deterioration in physical properties of packings or loss in elasticity of a rubber tube due to a flame during backfire, and prevent diffusion of the flame during backfire of the flame. A pipe type backfire arrester for water gas comprises: a first connecting pipe(110) and a second connecting pipe(120) that are connected to a pipeline; a backfire preventing part(130) installed within the first connecting pipe to allow water gas to be supplied in one direction only; and a filter part(140) installed between the first and second connecting pipes to filter alien substances in water gas. The first connecting pipe includes a polygonal body(112) of which an outer side is formed in the form of a polygonal length member, the polygonal body having a female screw part(118) and a male screw part(116) respectively formed on both sides thereof and a through hole(114) formed therein. The second connecting pipe includes a polygonal body(122) of which an outer side is formed in the form of a polygonal length member, the polygonal body having a female screw part(126) formed on both ends thereof and a projecting part(124) formed on an inner part thereof. The backfire preventing part includes a nozzle pipe(132) of which a rear end is opened, of which a front end is closed, which has a nozzle hole(132a) formed in one side of the front end thereof, and of which a rear portion is installed in the through hole of the first connecting pipe, and a rubber tube(134) inserted onto an outer side of the nozzle pipe. The filter part includes a pipe(142) which has a male screw part(142a) formed on both ends thereof and a catching projection(142b) formed on an inner side of one end thereof, ceramic particles(144) filled in the pipe, stainless steel meshes(146) disposed at both sides of the ceramic particles to contain the ceramic particles, and fluoro-rubber packings(148) which have receiving grooves(148a) formed on inner sides thereof to insert the meshes into the receiving grooves, and which support the meshes in the pipe.
