Summary: | A device and a method for improving the quality of water using food chain are provided to remove nutrients that are the source of water contamination in rivers and lakes, improve the water quality of the rivers and lakes by eliminating excessively grown algae, and improve the water quality of the rivers and lakes in a nature-friendly manner. A device(10) for improving the quality of water using food chain comprises: a base frame(20) installed on an aquatic basin; an algae inflow preventing part(30) mounted on the base frame to remove algae in flowing water flown into the base frame; and a nutrient removing part(33) mounted on the base frame to allow algae to absorb and remove nutrients in the flowing water flown into the base frame. The base frame further comprises a residual algae removing part(40) for enabling herbivorous fish and shellfish to eat and remove residual algae in flowing water passing through the algae inflow preventing part and the nutrient removing part. The algae inflow preventing part includes a first algae inflow preventing part(30a) for primarily removing algae in flowing water flown in through an inflow port(21) of the base frame, and a second algae inflow preventing part(30b) for secondly removing algae in flowing water passing through the first algae inflow preventing part and the nutrient removing part. The nutrient removing part further comprises an algae spore(35) that can be grown into algae in the future. The base frame further comprises a filtering mesh(25), a heating part(50), and a light source(51). Further, the algae inflow preventing part and the nutrient removing part is comprised of sponge. |
