An apparatus for transferring a welding head inside a pipe is provided to reduce the cost by making it not necessary to fabricate separately the apparatus again according to sizes of pipes, expand greatly the utilization range of the welding heads by mounting easily welding heads on the apparatus regardless of manufacturers of the welding heads, and perform an accurate welding operation by adjusting easily a welding torch of a welding head part to a welding line. An apparatus for transferring a welding head inside a pipe comprises: a linkage chuck(3) as a body; a fixing part(5) attached to the linkage chuck to fix the body into a pipe(1); a rotation drive motor(13) that generates power for welding the pipe in the circumferential direction; a rotation drive part(15) for transmitting power of the rotation drive motor to the rotary cover; a rotary cover(17) which protects the rotation drive part, to which a longitudinal transfer unit is attached, and which rotates in the circumferential direction of the pipe; a rotary part attaching bar(19) that can be connected to the rotary cover; a forward and backward transfer motor(21) that generates power for welding the pipe in the length direction; a welding head part(7) on which a welding torch(9) and a camera(11) are installed; and a length directional drive part(23) for transmitting power of the forward and backward transfer motor to the welding head part.
