Summary:A system for remotely inspecting and managing an electric gauge is provided to allow communication between an electric gauge and a central data terminal to be smoothly made by defining data used in the electric gauge and configuring an object. A system for remotely inspecting and managing an electric gauge includes a COSEM(Companion Specification for Energy Metering) client and a COSEM server. Each of the COSEM client and the COSEM server is provided with a DTE(Data Terminal Equipment) and a DCE(Data Circuit-terminating Equipment). Each of the COSEM client and the COSEM server includes a physical layer, a data link layer, and an application layer. The physical layer is used to access media required for performing communication specification processing with the COSEM client and the COSEM server. The data link layer forms a frame. The application layer supports the transmission of packets of the link layer.
