Summary:A deadbolt for a door lock and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase ability to bear high temperature in case of fire and to extend lifespan by using a steel plate to manufacture. A deadbolt(1) comprises a body part(2) and a connection part(3), wherein the body part has a reduced diameter considering the thickness of a cover(10). The cover, made of stainless steel, is covered on the outer side of the body part to have an outer diameter as a deadbolt. A holding unit, to which the end portion of the cover is inserted, is provided between the body part and the connection part to prevent separation of the cover.
