Summary: | A joining structure and a joining method for a lever-type connector are provided to enable a lever to be closely attached to the outside of a housing while overcoming the elastic force of an elastic member, thereby minimizing space required to contain the connector with the lever before assembly of connectors and preventing movement of the connectors and the damage of the lever due to external force. A joining structure for a lever-type connector includes a first connector(10) and a second connector(60). In the first connector, a first terminal is installed in the inner space of a first housing(12) composing the exterior, and a lever(40) is installed to be rotated by an elastic member(24') in the outside of the first housing, and a hook holding part(29) is formed in the front end of the first housing, wherein the lever is selectively joined to the hook holding part. In a second connector, a second terminal joined to the first terminal is installed in the insertion space of a second housing(62) composing the exterior, and a release projection is formed to release a combination of the hook holding part and the lever in the front end of the outside of the second housing, and a fastening/holding part(80) is formed in the rear end of the outside of the second housing, wherein the lever is selectively held, and a holding prevention part is formed to prevent the lever from being held on the hook holding part when the fastening/holding part is joined to the lever in both ends adjacent to the fastening/holding part. |
