Summary:A composition comprising an extract of a herb mixture is provided to inhibit the whole blood platelet aggregation of human body induced by collagen and various aggregation inducing agents, and the generation of thromboxane B2, thereby being usefully used for preventing and treating diseases related to thrombosis. An anti-thrombus agent composition comprises 4-20 parts by weight of Lonicerae Flos, 3-9 parts by weight of Achyranthes japonica, 3-20 parts by weight of Dendrobium moniliforme, 3-20 parts by weight of Astragalus membranaceus, and 3- 20 parts by weight of Angelicae Gigantis Radix. The composition further comprises at least one herb medicine selected from the group consisting of 2-6 parts by weight of Cyperus rotundus, 2-6 parts by weight of Cinnamomum loureirii, 2-6 parts by weight of Cinnamomum cassia Blume and 2-6 parts by weight of Asarum sieboldii. An agent for preventing and treating arteriosclerosis, cerebral hemorrhage, stroke or cerebral infarction comprises the composition as an effective ingredient.
