Summary:A method for controlling an external hard button of a device-integrated remote controller in a macro mode is provided to manipulate external hard buttons without converting to a basic mode by assigning a device attribute to the external hard buttons, to thus enhance user button manipulation. A controller determines that a basic mode is executed according to a state of a mode conversion button(S10). When an external hard button operates in the basic mode(S11), the controller assigns a device code of a device in an operating state to a group code of the external hard button and stores it in the second storage unit(S12). The controller determines that the mode conversion button is in a macro mode(S20). The controller checks whether a manipulation signal of the external hard button is inputted in the macro mode(S30). When the external hard button is manipulated in the macro mode, the controller determines the group code of the external hard button, checks a device code identical to the group code of the corresponding hard button, and performs the function of the device code of the corresponding device.
