Summary: | An oxidation catalyst which can reduce the recalcitrant materials, colors and toxic materials by oxidizing recalcitrant materials, colors and toxic materials that are present in various types of wastewater event under a room temperature and an atmospheric pressure using steel slag disused, a method for preparing the same, and a wastewater treatment apparatus using the same are provided. An oxidation catalyst is characterized in that at least one element selected from transition metals, alkali metals and alkali earth metals onto a steel slag support manufactured in the form of powder, granule or pellet. A wastewater treatment apparatus comprises: a reactor(1) in which a slag catalyst(2) is filled; a catalyst supporting layer(3) for supporting the filled catalyst in a lower part of the reactor; a wastewater storage tank(9) for storing wastewater supplied to the reactor; an oxidizer storage tank(7) for storing an oxidizer supplied to the reactor; a treated water tank(12) for storing water treated in the reactor; and a recirculating pipe(4) for recirculating a catalyst layer of the reactor. The wastewater treatment apparatus further comprises an in-line mixer(6) for receiving and uniformly mixing the wastewater and the oxidizer to supply the mixture into a lower part of the reactor. |
