Summary:A water treatment system which can improve the quality of supernatant discharged from the aeration tank by concentrating and conveying sludge in an aeration tank and drawing out and dewatering excessive sludge is provided. A water treatment system comprises: an aeration tank(50) in which raw water sojourns; an air diffusion unit(60) for aerating raw water in the aeration tank; a settling tank(70) which is immersed into the aeration tank to form a settling zone(72) isolated from an aerating action in the aeration tank, and which has an entrance and exit part formed at one side thereof such that raw water in the aeration tank enters or exits the settling tank through the entrance and exit part; and a sludge discharge unit(80) connected to the settling tank. The water treatment system further comprises a supernatant discharge unit installed at the upper side of the aeration tank to discharge the supernatant in an upper part of the aeration tank. The sludge discharge unit is connected to a dewatering facility(90) for dewatering sludge discharged through the sludge discharge unit, or conveys the sludge discharged through the sludge discharge unit to the aeration tank.
