Summary:A system for providing a bible search service is provided to offer a user with information for characters, geographical names, animals, plants, road, and so on appeared in the bible through a webpage or an email. A bible database(210) stores contents of the bible, and detail information for a word naming the characters, the geographical names, the animals, the plants, the road, and so on appeared in the contents. A webpage provider(220) sets connection with a user computer(100) by a connection request of the user, and provides the webpage including a content search window and a content display window. A summary information provider(230) provides an image and a summarized explanation for the word in case that position information of a mouse pointer is matched with the location information of the word displayed in the webpage. A bible information provider(240) provides the detail information for the word from the database by receiving selection information for the word displayed in the content display window.
