Summary:A power-saving apparatus in a wireless LAN terminal is provided to extend the idle time of a wireless LAN terminal and obtain a power-saving effect by establishing a unique DTIM(Delivery Traffic Indication Message) count value, decreasing the frequency of wakeup in power-saving mode, and extending the time of a dose state. A power-saving apparatus(500) in a wireless LAN terminal, which communicates with an AP(Access Point), includes a DTIM cycle extraction part(510), a DTIM count setup part(520), and a wakeup cycle determination part(530). The DTIM cycle extraction part extracts a DTIM cycle from the information received from the AP. The DTIM count setup part establishes the unique DTIM count value of the wireless LAN terminal. The wakeup cycle determination part determines a wakeup cycle in power-saving mode, based on the extracted DTIM cycle and the established DTIM count value.
