Summary:A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to stably drive the plasma display device by preventing damages to scan electrode driving elements due to peaking voltages. A plasma display device includes a PDP(Plasma Display Panel,500), a scan driver(51), and a data driver(52). The PDP includes scan and data electrodes. The scan driver applies a scan pulse to the scan electrode. The scan pulse falls from a scan reference voltage to a negative scan voltage during an address period and then rises back to the scan reference voltage. The data driver decreases a data pulse, which is applied on the data electrode, after the scan pulse rises to the scan reference voltage. The data pulse rises from a ground voltage to a positive data voltage and then falls back to the ground voltage.
