Summary:A dispersed cholesteric LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the manufacturing cost of the dispersed cholesteric LCD and realize high-brightness display and full-color display, by applying a cholesteric liquid crystal material in respective cells through spraying. Barrier walls(2) are disposed on a substrate(3). Absorbing members(6) are respectively disposed in respective cells, which are defined by the barrier walls. A cholesteric liquid crystal material(4), which has a wide frequency characteristic or a narrow frequency characteristic, is sprayed in the cells to obtain full-color display or monochromatic display.
