Summary: | Provided is a method for preparing a chiral substituted cyclopropane carboxamide, which avoids a need for expensive chiral separating agent, such as a chiral amine or L-menthol, or a complicated fermentation step, produces the target product with high optical purity and yield, and is cost-efficient. The method for preparing a chiral substituted cyclopropane carboxamide comprises the steps of: (1) reacting racemic cyclopropane carboxylate represented by the following formula 3 with lipase derived from Candida antarctica in an organic solvent in which ammonia gas is dissolved at a predetermined reaction temperature; and (2) separating (S)-cyclopropane carboxamide compound represented by the following formula 1 from (R)-cyclopropane carboxamide compound represented by the following formula 2. |
