Summary:PURPOSE: A semiconductor integrated circuit is provided to realize high speed data transmission between a logic circuit and a memory core having a plurality of I/O lines. CONSTITUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuit comprises a plurality of first modules and second modules and third modules. Each of the plurality of first modules includes a memory array(MR) having a plurality of bit lines and a plurality of word lines and a plurality of memory cells(MC). Each first module also includes a plurality of sense amplifiers connected to each bit line, and a plurality of word drivers to select the plurality of word lines selectively. And each first module also includes a data input/output line connected to the bit lines in common through a Y switch, and a global bit line connected to the data input/output line, and a column decoder outputting a column selection signal to connect the global bit line. The second module includes an amplifier to amplify a signal in the memory cells and a record circuit to record data in the memory cells through the global bit line. The third module includes a circuit to generate a voltage used in the first and the second module.
