Summary:PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to enable installation of the indoor unit to the upper and lower parts of a room. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a body(1) having a suction grille(1a) and a discharge port(1b); a heat exchanger(2) installed in the body; a cross flow fan(3) producing dynamic pressure; and a rear guide(4) and a stabilizer(5) stabilizing an incoming air current. Upper and lower water collecting units(6,6') for collecting condensate are formed to the upper and lower ends of the heat exchanger. An adjusting plate(7) for adjusting the discharge direction of a discharge air current is installed to the discharge port. 본 발명은 공기조화기의 실내기에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 흡입그릴(1a)과 토출구(1b)가 형성된 본체(1)와 상기 본체(1)의 내부에 설치되는 열교환기(2)와 동압을 발생시키는 크로스플로팬(3)과 유입된 기류를 안정시키는 리어가이드(4) 및 스태빌라이져(5)를 포함하여 구성된 공기조화기의 실내기에서, 상기 열교환기(2)의 상,하단부에 응축수를 받을 수 있는 상,하부 물받이(6,6')가 형성되도록 구비하여, 실내기의 설치를 실내의 상,하부에 설치하는 것이 가능하게 되며 설치가 자유롭게 되고, 또한 하부 설치시 난방이 이루어질 경우 온기류가 하부에서 상부로 흐르게 되어 난방효과를 높일 수 있도록 한 것이다.
