Summary:PURPOSE: A method for polymerizing a polyolefin by the slurry continuous process using a metallocene catalyst is provided, to separate a cocatalyst to enable it to be recirculated by employing the metallocene catalyst supported to a supporter and the cocatalyst capable of being dissolved into a suspension solvent. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of polymerizing an olefin by using the supported catalyst supported by a covalent bond and a cocatalyst dissolved into a suspension solvent; and dissolving the unreacted cocatalyst into the suspension solvent to separate it from the polymer. Preferably the supported catalyst is obtained by contacting the silica having a highly reactive siloxane group on the surface by heating it at 600 deg.C or more, with the compound represented by the formula 2:(C5R3m)pBs(C5R3m)MQ(3-p) or formula 3 whose R3, R4 or/and B is substituted with the radical represented by the formula 1, wherein M is a transition metal of group 4B; R3's are the same or different each another and are H, an alkyl group of C1-C10, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkylaryl group, an arylalkyl group, a metalloid of metal of group 14 substituted with a hydrocarbyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted 4-8 membered cyclopentadienyl formed by connecting two carbon atoms with a hydrocarbyl group; B is a bridge connecting the cyclopentadienyl group and JR4(z-y); R4 is H, an alkyl group of C1-20, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkylaryl group or an arylalkyl group; J is an element of group 5A or 6A; Q's are the same or different each other and are a halogen atom, an alkyl group of C1-C20, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkylaryl group, an arylalkyl group or an alkylidene group of C1-C20; L is a Lewis base; s is 0 or 1, and p is 0, 1 or 2; s is 0 if p is 0, m is 4 if s is 1, and m is 5 if s is 0; z is a valence of J, and z is 3 if J is the element of group 5A and 2 if J is the element of group 6A; x is 0 or 1; n is 5, y is 1, and w is larger than 0 if x is 0; and n is 2 and w is 0 if s is 2. Preferably the cocatalyst is the compound represented by -£Al(R5)-O|4- or Al(R5)3, or their mixture, wherein R5's are the same or different one another and are a halogen atom, a hydrocarbyl group of C1-C20 or a hydrocarbyl group of C1-C20 substituted with a halogen atom; and a is an integer of 2 or more.
