Summary:PURPOSE: A method for producing a coat protein of hantan virus sp. and a transformed microorganism producing the same are provided. The coat protein of hantan virus sp. can be useful in the production of a hantan virus vaccine. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a coat protein of hantan virus sp. comprises the steps of: cloning the coat protein of hantan virus sp. G1 gene, G2 gene or G1G2 gene fused with other protein genes into an appropriate vector; transforming a host microorganism with the recombinant plasmid constructed; culturing the transformant under appropriate conditions; purifying the expressed fusion protein; and treating the purified fusion protein with an appropriate factor to remove proteins fused with the coat protein, wherein protein fused with the coat protein is maltose binding protein; the vector is pMalc2 or pMalp2; the host microorganism is E. coli; and the recombinant plasmid is pMalc2-G1, pMalc2-G2, pMalc2-G12, pMalp2-G1, pMalp2-G2 or pMalp2-G12.
