Summary:PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing smoking material containing various kinds of herbal materials capable of removing harmful ingredients of the smoke is provided, to achieve the effect of quitting smoking with enjoying a feeling of smoking by controlling smoking and relieving strain and stress. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) roasting and pulverizing Asarum sieboldii MIQ., Eugenia caryophyllata THUNB., cnidium rhizome, Evodia rutaecarpa BENTH., Biota orientalis ENDL., Zizyphus spinosa HU. and Polygala tenuifolia WILLD. respectively; (ii) soaking Arisaema amurense var. seratum Nakai, leaf mustard seed and Cinnamomum camphora SIEB. in 50-70% ethyl alcohol to extract pharmacological ingredients of the herbs; (iii) mixing 7-38wt% of solids of Artemisia argyi LEV., Asarum sieboldii MIQ., Eugenia caryophyllata THUNB., Evodia rutaecarpa BENTH., Biota orientalis ENDL., Zizyphus spinosa HU. and Polygala tenuifolia WILLD., 10-41wt% of solids of Morus alba L. and cnidium rhizome and 15-30wt% of mixture of seratum Nakai, leaf mustard seed and Cinnamomum camphora SIEB.; and (iv) adding 1-10wt% of starch syrup and 0.1-1wt% of glycerin to the mixed herbs and dehydrating the mixture to contain 12-13% of water.
