Summary: | PURPOSE: A carrier wave restoration method of a 16-QAM(16 level quadrature amplitude modulation) signal is provided to reduce inter-symbol interference by reducing the effect of phase jitter. CONSTITUTION: A hard limiter(90) and an envelope detector(70) reconstruct an input signal to amplitude modulation component and phase modulation component. A window detector(80) extracts a time interval where a phase jitter is generated from the reconstructed amplitude modulation signal. Carrier wave tracking of a digital phase locked loop(PLL) is controlled using the reconstructed amplitude modulation signal. Analog switches at the input and output terminals of a phase detector performs track/hold function. |
