PURPOSE: A device for rotating an optical disk is provided to precisely a control deviation of a spindle motor from an optical axis while preventing vibration in rotating the optical disk on a turntable through integrally fixing the spindle motor on a deck base. CONSTITUTION: A motor base is attached on a deck base(50). Herein, the deck base and a motor base(52) contain through holes(50a,52a). A spindle motor is integrally fixed on the deck base for rotating an optical disk. The spindle motor is formed by a bush(62), a sleeve bearing(66) having a rotor shaft(64), and a housing. The rotor shaft is perpendicular for the deck base while combining a stator core(72) on an external circumference of the bush. A magnet(74) is attached to an inner circumference of the housing. A mounting unit(76) is formed on the housing, and plural vertical holes(76a) are formed on the mounting unit. A deviation prevent unit is installed in the housing for being connected to a contact piece(84) connected to a compressing spring(82) of the deviation prevent unit and to the bush.
