Summary: | PURPOSE: A process for preparing long decay-time fluorescent material for flicker-free cathode-ray tube is provided for accomplishing excellent brightness and obtaining it in high yield by means of simple and safe reproducible process. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing long decay-time fluorescent material useful in the production of flicker-free cathode-ray tube comprises adding terbium oxides such as TbO2 or Tb4O7 in the first solvent selected from nitric acid or hydrochloric acid to form the sub-active material; adding indium oxides such as In2O or In2O3 in pure water as the second solvent to form parent composition; mixing the sub-active material and the parent composition; adding base to the mixture to neutralize it and drying; adding boron component and the fusing agent selected from Li2B4O4, NaB4O7 separately or in combination of them to the mixture and calcining the resultant product. |
