Summary:An apparatus for processing subscriber matching physical layer of ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) suitable for B-ISDN(Broadband- Integrated Services Digital Network) is disclosed. The subscriber matching physical layer processor comprises: a data transfer means(7) connected between a line connected to a subscriber and an ATM layer for transferring data; and a maintenance and management means(8) connected to a system maintenance surface through an external bus and connected to the data transfer means(7) through an internal bus, for maintaining a statue of devices, performance and failure. 본 발명은 광대역 종합정보신통망(B-ISDN) : Broadand Intergrated Services Digital Network 실현을 위한 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode)장치내의 가입자정합 물리계층 처리장치에 관한 것으로 가입자가 접속되는 선로와 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 계층사이에 연결되어 데이터를 상호변환하여 전송하는 데이타 전송수단(7)과 외부 버스를 통하여 시스템 관리 평면과 연결되고, 내부 버스를 통하여 상기 데이터 전송수단(7)에 연결되어 디바이스 상태 감시, 장애 관리 및 성능을 감시하는 유지 보수 관리 수단(8)을 구비하여 ITU-T 권고안을 충실히 만족시킬수 있는 ATM 가입자정합 물리계층 처리장치를 구현할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
