A subscriber matcher VP monitoring apparatus of ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) exchanger for monitoring a transfer performance of cells is disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a physical layer matcher(6) for transferring the received ATM cell to an ATM physical layer processor(2); a routing processor(7) for routing the received cell from the physical layer matcher(6); a receive monitoring processor(8) for monitoring the received user cell; a header convertor(10) for converting the received interior cell(15) and transferring the converted cell to the physical layer matcher(6); and a transfer monitoring processor(9) for monitoring the performance of user's cell(19) transferred to the physical layer matcher(6). 본 발명은 ATM교환기에서 송신되는 셀의 전달성능을 감시하기 위한 ATM교환기의 가입자 정합부 VP모니터링 장치에 관한 것으로, 상기 ATM 물리계층 처리부(2)로부터 셀을 수신하여 수신된 셀을 분류하여 다음 처리부로 전달하거나 ATM 셀을 상기 ATM 물리계층 처리부(2)로 전달하는 물리계층 정합부(6); 상기 ATM 물리계층 정합부(2)로부터 셀을 수신하여 라우팅 처리를 수행하는 라우팅 처리부(7); 상기 ATM 물리계층 정합부(2)로부터 사용자 셀을 수신하여 모니터링을 수행하는 수신부 모니터링 처리부(8); 상기 스위치 망(4)으로부터 수신한 내부 셀(15)의 헤더 변환을 수행하여 상기 물리계층 정합부(6)로 전달하는 헤더 변환부(10); 상기 물리계층 정합부(6)로 전달되는 사용자 셀(19)의 성능 측정을 위해 모니터링을 수행하는 송신 모니터링 처리부(9)를 구비한다.
