Summary:PURPOSE:To preclude a defect in fixation by taking a copy at a pre-CPM (Copy Per Minute) speed slower than a normal CPM speed for a certain period when the copying operation is started right after the surface temperature of a fixing roller reaches cooperative rotation start temperature and returning the speed to the normal CPM speed the constant period later. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a CMP varying means (paper feed interval control means) 9 and a CPM down speed determining means 20 which sends out a signal for copying operation at the pre-CPM speed slower than the normal CPM speed to the CPM varying means 9 previously. Then when the copying operation is started right after the surface temperature of the fixing roller 1 reaches the conventional cooperative rotation start temperature, they copying operation is performed at the pre-CPM speed slower than the normal CPM speed for the certain period and the speed is returned to the normal CPM speed the constant time later. Consequently, the start-up time is shortened and a detect in fixation is precluded.
