PURPOSE:To properly perform maintenance and control by storing the pressure value given by a pressure control system and comparing the same with the pressure value applied during measurement by the pressure control system to detect the reduction of a sheath liquid and detecting the clogging of a filter from the pressure value of the pressure control system. CONSTITUTION:The sheath tube in a sheath liquid container 5 is guided to a nozzle 11 through an impurity removing filter 8 and a pressure sensor 9. The set pressure from the outside and the output of the sensor 9 are inputted to a control circuit 17 for controlling the output of the sensor 9 to a set value and the circuit 17 controls the pressure of the sensor 9 to constant value through an electric regulator 3 for a sheath liquid. The initial pressure value when the container 5 is filled with the sheath liquid is stored and, from the difference between said value and the pressure value during measurement, the reduction of the sheath liquid is discriminated and, when the pressure value exceeds an alarm value by the advance of the clogging of the filter 8, clogging is judged. Therefore, maintenance and control can be easily performed.
