PURPOSE:To make a scratch in a place where a hitting member pushed up a sheet of paper a minute one by providing three or more hitting members in which spring force is used on a skew correcting mechanism to disperse the push-up force of the hitting members at the time when the sheet of paper pushes down the hitting members to pass through. CONSTITUTION:The pivot roller 1 which is formed nearly in a disk shape of a paper skew correcting mechanism grips a conveying sheet of paper 5 in a minute area. A sheet of paper 5 is conveyed through between a pair of opposite guide plates 6 and an opening part 7 for exposing the sheet of paper 5 is provided in the position opposite to the roller 1 of the plate 6. And, four hitting members 2 are provided right behind the roller 1 perpendicularly to the sheet of paper 5, and rotatably supported by pins 3 while being energized in the direction opposite to the conveying direction of the sheet of paper by means of springs 4. The spring force of the springs 4 is determined to be the required minimum force for correcting the skewing when the skewing sheet of paper 5 hits against the hitting members. Also, the hitting members 2 are formed so as to be projected above the plate 6 out of opening parts 9 formed on the plate 6.
