Summary:PURPOSE: To generate far IR rays from the powder of heated ceramics and to irradiate the leaves of tobacco with these far IR rays to make the taste milder by incorporating the powder of the ceramics which radiates the far IR rays into shredded raw material leaf tobacco. CONSTITUTION: A mixture 4 formed by compounding the shredded leaf tobacco 2 and the powder 3 of the ceramics is wrapped up with wrapping paper 5 by a double cutting and paper wrapping machine. The raw material leaf tobacco of such tobacco contains the powder 3 of the ceramics which is a far IR ray radiator in a uniformly dispersed state in the shreds 2 of the leaf tobacco and, therefore, when a person smokes by firing the tobacco, the fire of the tobacco turns to about 600 deg.C and the heat transfers to the powder 3 of the ceramics. The powder 3 generates the heat radiations of a far IR wavelength region. The leaves of the tobacco are radiated with these far IR ray and consequently, the taste of the tobacco is made milder.
