Summary:PURPOSE:To make it possible to produce miniature and large size CRTs successively on a machine by providing a removing device of the socket from pins of the electron gun of the CRTs so that for miniature CRTs the device is lifted up with a follow-up mechanism to cope with large CRTs similarly too. CONSTITUTION:For a large size CRT 1a, push up plates 29 are brought under the both sides of the socket by horizontally moving mechanisms 23 on both sides, and the socket is taken off from the pins of the electron gun of the CRT by pushing up operation of a vertically moving mechanism 31 for the push up plates 29. For a miniature CRT 1b, a lifting mechanism 43 for CRTs is moved together with a hunger 14 by the operation of a follow-up mechanism 45, and by the simultaneous operation of the said mechanism 43 the CRT on the hunger is brought up to a specified level. Then by the operation of the said mechanism 23 and the said mechanism 31 described above, the socket is pushed up by the plates 29 to be taken off from the pins of the CRT 1b.
