Summary:PURPOSE:To surely transport a recording sheet independently of the size by installing an aerotransporting member made of porous material, aeroattracting means for adsorbing the recording sheet onto the supporting surface, and a driving means for the aerotransporting member. CONSTITUTION:An aerotransporting drum 20 is formed into a hollow drum form which is made of porous glass material and has a thickness of 0.1-10mm, and the surface is smoothly formed as a supporting surface 21 for a recording sheet 5. As this porous glass material, used is the porous material which is obtained by heating the glass containing boric acid, alkalis, etc., at several hundred degree and by rinsing borid acid and alkalis from the glass separated into each phase. An aeroattracting means 30 had a culumn-shaped air chamber forming member 31 freely fitted into the drum 20, and attracted by an air pump 38 through a straight passage 34. Since the ventilating hole formed on the drum 20 has a minute diameter of about 0.5-10mum, the attractive force based on the static electric field for an ink splashing part is made uniform, and the dispersion of the degree of splashing of ink can be reduced.
