Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent an illegal vehicle from being misphotographed and to accurately specify the illegal vehicle by detecting the presence of a precedent large vehicle at all times with the sense signal of a vehicle detector and the sense falling signal of a 3rd vehicle detector. CONSTITUTION:A booth 2 is built in an island of a tollgate and a load plate 4 which weighs a load placed on the axles of a traveling vehicle is provided at the foremost part of a lane 3. A normal vehicle has its illegality detected by the load plate 4 before or in passing the front vehicle detector 5B. At this time, the rear vehicle detector 5A does not detect the vehicle and the rear vehicle detector 5A detects the front of the vehicle while the vehicle passes the front vehicle detector 5B; and a camera 6 is driven with a photography signal to photograph the front of the illegal vehicle. When a long vehicle is weighed, the load plate 4 detects its illegality while the vehicle passes the rear vehicle detector 5A; when the rearmost part of the illegal vehicle passes the 3rd vehicle detector 5C, the camera 6 is driven with the photography signal to photograph the front of the illegal vehicle.
