Summary:PURPOSE:To exhibit good development performance even under severe environment and good color reproduction performance by using negatively chargeable fine particles containing a colorant, a positively chargeable fluidizing agent, and magnetic particles coated with an insulating resin. CONSTITUTION:The colorant-containing fine particles and the fluidizing agent are surface treated to obtain negative and positive chargeabilities, respectively, and the magnetic particles are coated with the insulating resin. Said fluidizing agent is prepared by treating the surface of a metal oxide, such as silica, alumi na, or titanium dioxide, with a silicone oil containing amine, and it exhibits a superior effect by using it in an amount of 0.01-10wt.%, thus permitting chargeability and reproduction performance to be improved, good development performance to be maintained even under low temperature and low humidity, and proper chargeability to be kept even under high temperature and high humidity.
