Summary:PURPOSE:To make the frictional force of the bearing in the caption extremely small so as to aim at extension of its life by using a superconductor for one of an outer ring and an inner ring and a magnet for the other so as to use Meissner effect of both rings. CONSTITUTION:A superconductor is used for one of an outer ring 1 and an inner ring 2 and a magnet is used for the other, but the superconductor can be used for any one of both. Further, the superconductor and the magnet can be employed in the whole of the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 and the magnet can be either a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. And, with due regard to the case of the contact of the outer ring 1 with the inner ring 2 by any possibility, material pieces 5 having a small coefficient of friction can be joined with the rings. A gap can be maintained between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 by Meissner effect so that the coefficient of friction of this bearing becomes extremely small. Accordingly, super high speed rotation becomes possible and the life of the bearing is remarkably extended.
