Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material which is converted into passive state by itself in a molten carbonate type fuel cell by specifying the compsn. of an alloy contg. Fe, Cr and Ni. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of the alloy contg. Fe, Cr and Ni is specified in such a manner that the value of K defined by K=Fe+Cr+0.2Ni (wt.%) is regulated in the range of 1,400-1,800, preferably 1,450-1,750. Cr and Ni are furthermore preferably regulated to 20<=Cr<=30 and <=25 Ni. By said alloy, the titled material which spontaneously forms the film of complex oxide converted into Li having excellent corrosion resistance and which is converted into passive state by itself under the working conditions of a molten carbonate type fuel cell can be obtd.
