PURPOSE: To improve the working efficiency by installing a larger diameter foundation steel pipe than a column body in a hole excavated in the ground and laying cobble stones and sub-slab concrete and inserting a column body foundation part in the inside of the foundation steel pipe and placing foundation concrete. CONSTITUTION: A hole is bored in the ground 8 and an earth-retaining work is carried out with sheet piles, and then, a foundation steel pipe 5 having a larger diameter than the column body 1 is installed in the hole. Then, cobble stones 3 and sub-slab concrete 4 are poured. Subsequently, the foundation part 1a of the column body 1 is inserted in the inside of the steel pipe 5 and foundation concrete 7 is placed in the space 6 and thereafter, earth and sand around the steel pipe 5 are backfilled. The steel pipe 5 is left in the ground to prevent deformation caused by the peripheral earth pressure. In this way, the working efficiency can be improved.
