Summary: | PURPOSE:To enable a printing speed not to be decreased by writing in a bit map memory by packing a character pattern close together, by a method wherein presence of printing data is written not only in an address controlled by a scaler but also in the bit map memory, and the character pattern of the bit map memory is read by the address of this scaler. CONSTITUTION:A scaler writing control part 16 registers a position of a character pattern to be printed on a paper to a scaler 17 by an address corresponding to the paper, sends an address for storing the character pattern by packing a necessary margin and line space close together on the paper, and stores the character pattern in a bit map memory 5. A scaler reading control part 18 indicates it to a video output part 6 that the character pattern is read out from an address of the bit map memory 5 indicated by the scaler 17, and the scaler 17 comes preliminarily to be able to start in advance printing activation of a following page without requiring preparation of 2 page contents in capacity of the bit map memory 5 in order to enable a video signal for which the margin and line space on the paper have been reproduced to be the video output part 6, and improves a printing speed. |
