Summary:PURPOSE: To enhance the performance by providing a large number of pyramidal protrusions independently and intermittently in the circumferential and axial directions on the outer surface of a tube. CONSTITUTION: A large number of pyramidal protrusions 2 are provided on the surface of a heating tube 1. The protrusions 2 are arranged in zigzag or in lattice. Consequently, solution flows down while being distributed in the circumferential and axial directions and the solution flow 15 stirred well by the protrusions 2 and disturbed. Migration of substance is thereby accelerated significantly and since the solution is spread entirely over the tube, migration of heat and substance is further accelerated. Performance of the absorber in an absorption refrigerating machine, an absorption heat pump, or the like, can be enhanced using this heating tube 1.
