USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. PREPARATION:A compound of formula IV [R is (protected) amino; R is OH, acyloxy, etc.] or its salt is made to react with a compound of formula V (ring A' is pyridine ring to imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine, etc.) or its salt.
