Summary:PURPOSE:To perform laser beam machining with high accuracy at a high speed by shaping, counting and processing arithmetically acoustic emission (AE) signals at plural places of a body to be machined in accordance with the laser beam machining and controlling a traveling means and a laser beam oscillator to monitor and control the laser beam machining immediately. CONSTITUTION:The AC signals of explosion sounds and evaporation sounds at the plural places 10a-10c of the work 9 in accordance with the laser beam machining are amplified, shaped 12, counted and processed 14 arithmetically and projected on a CRT (cathode-ray tube) 15 and recorded on a floppy 16 and in addition, outputted to a printer 17. Herewith, the rotation of the body 9 to be machined is controlled by the traveling means to control a switch controller 5 of the laser oscillator 1. The satisfactory laser beam machining with the high accuracy is performed at a high speed by said immediate monitoring control.
