Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a grip excellent in frictional effect, hardly slipped, and excellent in durability by arranging a code-contained rubber grip in the longitudinal, lateral, or bias direction of the grip, the combined direction thereof, or other directions according to optional designs. CONSTITUTION: In the molding of a grip 1, unvulcanized rubber 2 mainly composed of natural rubber or synthetic rubber is formed into two upper and lower grip molding rubber sheets 3 coinciding with the grip shape. Separately from this, a sheet-like cord 4 is preliminarily covered with the unvulcanized rubber 2 to form a spread sheet 5, and the spread sheet 5 is laid in half-vulcanized state. Since the sheet-like cords are thus half-fixed, the lateral or oblique arrangement which is apt to be influenced by the flowing of the rubber material in vulcanization is ensured, so that such a state can be prevented that the cords are disordered and mutually bonded, which causes a crack, or the cords are not neatly arranged on the surface after molding so that the arrangement effect of the cords can not be provided.
